Communication...
Father Kolbe School works in partnership with parents to assist students to reach their full potential. Thus communication between home and school is critical to student success, and Father Kolbe School fosters that in several ways. In August a School Calendar is provided to each family listing all events throughout the year for planning convenience. A Monday Folder is sent home each week with all graded work for the week, as well as any teacher or school notices. In addition, a Parent Newsletter is published twice a month to keep everyone informed about school activities. Faculty members maintain contact with parents as necessary to promote student success.

Take Time for KIDS (from the National PTA Newsletter)
In the midst of another busy school year, having time to sit down together as a family is an ongoing challenge. But recent studies show that making the effort is not only a simple way to get more involved in your children's lives, it makes a significant difference in your child's development. Researchers at Harvard University and the University of Tulsa have found that mealtime conversation builds vocabulary even more effectively than listening to stories or reading aloud, and a family meal naturally gives rise to basic courtesies like saying "Please" and "Thank You."
